MICHAËL
Hi, my name is Michael Laramée-Masutti and I’m from Brossard, a town on the south shore of Montreal. I saw plenty of footage of models and photoshoots on social media and thought it might be interesting [to explore], but I never decided if I actually wanted to pursue modeling. A friend asked me to accompany them for the open qualifications and when I was there, the employees of Dulcedo asked me to [also join the casting], so I did and here we are. I’m happy I gave it a chance.
FUN FACTS: I want to travel the world, I can do a backflip, and I have an insatiable appetite.
JAMIE-LEE
Hi, my name is Jamie-lee Dubé and I’m from Montreal. The opportunity to tell a story beyond words is what drew me to modelling. As I’m also a photographer, I always thought that you can tell a lot by a simple glance. I was first approached by a Dulcedo agent at twelve, so twelve years later, it only felt natural [and like a full circle moment] that I could achieve new heights [in my modelling career] with Dulcedo.
FUN FACTS: I was born on Jacques Cartier bridge, and one of my favourite restaurants is Café Santropol in Montreal. Also, when it comes to music, I listen to a bit of everything; [for me] it all depends on the whole composition of a song more than its genre.
AISHA
Hi, my name is Aisha and I’m from Montreal. Since I was little, I always dreamed of being a model. I remember watching America’s Next Top Model and then recreating the scenes with my sisters, like doing fake photoshoots. It’s a childhood dream becoming reality and I’m incredibly grateful for it.
FUN FACTS: I used to have terrible camera anxiety when I was in highschool, but I built confidence with a lot of self care and now my favourite place to be is in front of the camera. I love any flavourful food and I think every genre of music has something special that makes them enjoyable. Just like people!
ANTHONY
Hi, my name is Anthony Philippe and I'm from Cartagena, Colombia, and I moved to Montreal 10 months ago. It's a funny story, but what brought me to modelling were my friends. They heard about the Dulcedo open casting and encouraged me to go. So, after work, I headed over to the casting with really no hope or expectation, as I had never modelled before. I've been drawn to fashion a little bit throughout the years but never really found a "style" that stuck.
FUN FACTS: My favourite food is coconut rice with seafood. When I'm not cooking, I spend most of my time playing volleyball and swimming. I'd say my favourite kind of music is anything Afro-related, whether it's dancehall, afrobeats, or konpa. I also enjoy Latin music—basically, anything you can dance to as a couple.
ORLANE
Hi, my name is Orlane and I was born and raised in Paris, France, but moved to Montreal two years ago to study psychology. Honestly, people got me into modelling. Every time I walked down the street or ate at a restaurant I was always told I should try it. So here I am trying something I never did before.
FUN FACTS: I love music, and I started playing piano because of Alicia Keys. Other than that, I like cooking. So if you need a good recipe, you can always count on me to give you a mouth-watering recommendation.
NYA
Hi, my name is Nya Miguel and I’m originally from London, Ontario but I’m based in Ottawa finishing my degree in Sociology and Anthropology. What drew me to modelling was getting inspired seeing other models do creative, fashion, runway or commercial shoots and thinking to myself that this is something I want to do! I didn’t pursue modelling until my self- confidence grew and I eventually brought myself to the Dulcedo open call. And here we are today!
FUN FACTS: I love to travel, if I could travel anywhere right now it would be Brazil or Japan. I’m obsessed with movies and shows, right now I'm watching The Bear and House of Dragon! I love thrifting/ fashion and my favourite fashion trend right now is any cheetah print or coquette attire.
DEVIN REID
Hi, my name is Devin and I was born and raised in Northern Ontario (Sudbury), but I have spent many years living in Western Canada, the Middle East and have now been in Montreal for the past three years. I have been approached by modelling agencies a few times during my adult life, but always chose to focus my attention on my studies and my career in the medical field. As I get older I realize that one can have multiple different "roles" in life and in work. With encouragement from my partner, I attended the open casting call with little expectation, having the outlook of trying something new and having fun. I have always been drawn to fashion and advertising, and I hope modelling will offer me a way that I can both learn from and contribute to this industry.
FUN FACTS: My previous goal was to travel to 30 countries under the age of 30, having attained that I'd now like to strive for 40 countries under the age of 40! My favourite food and guilty pleasure is Kraft Dinner. Also, I have a four-year old Australian Shepherd named Donut!
