You want sponsorships. Not the "hey streamer, say this exact script" brand deal that makes chat spam AdBreak L, but the kind that feels right. Good news: getting sponsored is less about waiting for the algorithm gods and more about having proof and a sharp pitch.
1) Define your lore (aka your audience)
In gaming influencer marketing, brands aren’t buying you; they’re buying your community. Pull your analytics and write this in plain English:
- Who’s in the chat (age range, regions, platform)
- Why they watch (rank grind? cozy variety? watch parties? chaos?)
- What they do next (clip, share, join Discord, click links, buy)
This is the backbone of every pitch.
2) Put together a media kit
Think of your media kit as your channel’s about me page. Keep it to a single scroll:
- Quick stats: avg. concurrent viewers, watch time, engagement, socials
- Your categories/games + content cadence
- Audience snapshot
- Collabs (even small ones) + results (clicks, sign-ups, redemptions)
- Integration menu + starting price ranges (so you don’t have to DM-rate like it’s 2014)
3) Pitch like you’re DM’ing a mutual (but professionally)
Your email/DM should be short and structured: who you are, why you’re a great fit, and what you’ll deliver. Start with brands that already match your vibe (gear, snacks, software, games) and get specific about results: code usage, wishlist adds, sign-ups, traffic. These sponsored streamer tips get responses because they’re easy to approve.
4) Price in bundles, not vibes
A brand doesn’t just want a one-off shoutout; they want a moment that lands. Offer a mini-campaign bundle:
- Live integration (60–90 seconds) + on-screen panel/command for 2 weeks
- One highlight clip (YouTube Shorts/TikTok/IG Reels)
- One community post/Discord mention
If they want just a quick mention, price it like a limited-time drop, not a subscription.
5) Make it feel like content, not an ad break
Best sponsored content tips: protect immersion. Try formats chat actually enjoys:
- Challenge mode: “If we win this, sponsor code unlocks a giveaway.”
- POV demo: show how you use the product mid-stream (no forced monologue)
- Story hook: tie it to your arc: new season grind, tourney prep, community night
Then do the simplest thing creators forget: say exactly what to do (type !brand, use code, click link) and repeat it once for the lurkers.
6) Disclose clearly (trust is everything)
Don’t lose your audience’s trust over a lazy read. Disclose clearly on stream and in descriptions, follow FTC guidance, and only promote what you truly support. Being brand-safe and authentic keeps sponsors coming back.
7) Send the post-deal receipt screenshot (aka reporting)
After the campaign, send a one-page recap: views, clicks/redemptions, peak CCV during the segment, chat sentiment, and a few clips. Brands love creators who can both entertain and show their impact.
Do this consistently and sponsorships stop being random streamer luck and become predictable: you’re a creator with a clear audience, clean deliverables, and a stream that makes ads feel part of the experience.
