From Office Life to Online Stardom
While working at a real estate media company, Jamie decided to create a video based on some of the amusing excuses she’d encountered from her Gen Z employees. The post took off almost immediately, reaching thousands of views in just hours and eventually surpassing a million. Her genuine, comedic take on bridging workplace generational gaps resonated widely, solidifying her as a relatable voice for anyone navigating similar dynamics.
Reflecting on that breakthrough moment, Jamie recalls, “It was about a week after I posted the first video that I realized it was very viral. It kept getting engagement every minute, no matter the time of day.”
Turning Viral Fame into a Career
Jamie’s transition from corporate life to full-time content creation happened almost as fast as her viral success. While the whirlwind might have been intimidating, Jamie credits her partnership with her agent Lana Yuen and the Dulcedo team for helping her turn fame into a thriving career.
The shift to becoming a full-time creator has been both thrilling and challenging: “There will always be fear when you’re being creative for a job. It’s never guaranteed people will like your stuff. But you have to believe in yourself and keep trying to make great content.”
What she loves most about her new career is the flexibility, the opportunity to connect with a global audience, and the joy of making people laugh.
Advice for Aspiring Creators
Jamie’s journey is an inspiration for anyone dreaming of turning their passion into a career. Her advice? “Try. Get out there and try to do it. If that doesn’t work, try something else. Everyone has something unique to offer the world, so my advice would be to be 100% authentic and figure out what really gives you energy. Then share and work with that.”
