As one of the campaign’s official partners, Jamal appeared on the Today Show on June 18, 2024 with his fellow Team USA athlete ambassadors to showcase the long-awaited designs the American athletes will wear at the opening and closing ceremonies on the world’s biggest global stage of athletic excellence. During the segment, Jamal and the other athletes, kiteboarder Daniela Moroz and BMX racer Kamren Larsen, proudly displayed the vibrant red, white, and blue uniforms that he and his teammates will don as they represent their country at the upcoming event. The designs by iconic American fashion designer Ralph Lauren, seamlessly blend athletic functionality with patriotic flair, embodying the spirit of unity and pride that Team USA stands for (with a subtle nod to the games host city: Paris!).
During his appearance, Jamal expressed his excitement for coming in as a person of leadership for the team, while donning the modern, distinctly American closing ceremony look, matching swimmingly with host Hoda Kotb!
