What were your overall impressions of TwitchCon Vegas?

I felt the event itself was well-planned and organized. With that being said, because of all the events going on and construction getting around was super difficult compared to San Diego. It always gives me joy to go to these events because it gives people a space to be themselves and meet up with people they may have only met online.

What were the highlights of your TwitchCon experience?

The highlight was watching Halite speak on the Twitchcon Panel for Streamlabs as their speaker of choice. Halie packed the room and was on the front page of Twitch for this event with over 12,000 concurrent viewers online as well. I have been to a lot of panels but this one was so full they were turning people away at the door.

I also enjoyed seeing Diplo with some clients and talents. It was super cool to talk with everyone in an environment outside of the working scene.

Did you have the opportunity to network with fellow content creators, fans, or industry professionals?

For the most part. It was really difficult planning meetings because of how inconvenient it was at the event. It was a great event for nurturing current relationships and catching up with current talents and clients.

How was the interaction with talents and their followers at TwitchCon? Did you have any memorable fan interactions or feedback that stood out to you while with your talents?

The interaction was great! One of the lasting impressions on me was when people came up to Halite to take pictures and ask him for advice. Most people could give cookie-cutter answers but Halite took the time to watch the guy's content, give him a detailed breakdown, and go through his content with him. It truly shows the kind of person Halite is.

Were there any challenges or issues you encountered while attending TwitchCon? What suggestions do you have for improving the experience for both content creators and attendees in the future?

I would keep it out of places like Vegas and stick to places like San Diego or even an East Coast city. Overall I think the actual event is good, but having it in places like Vegas where it is difficult to get around and is super expensive hinders the experience for others.

In one sentence, describe the most significant lesson or insight you gained from TwitchCon this year.

Nothing builds relationships quite like meeting someone in person and getting to know them on a more personal level outside of work.

I was able to help a few deals cross the finish line as well which is super helpful for my talents. Also, we were able to meet with talents who were fans of Dulcedo and who had wanted to join for a while.

Overall it was an incredible experience spending the days with my talents and clients. One of my favorite parts of the job is being able to go to events like this and share experiences with people I genuinely care about.
