"It’s unbelievable. In one day, my whole ski season changed. I had no idea I’d come second in France. The best in the world were there. I can still hardly believe it. It’s kind of like a dream” - Phil Langevin on his first podium finish in France.
Only a few days later, Phil received the most coveted invitation in the world of freestyle skiing: a spot for the 2019 X Games held in Aspen, Colorado. The event took place from January 24th to the 27th where the world's best gathered for a weekend of action sports and music, a true festival experience.
Another highlight came when Phil participated in the FIS Big Air World Cup in Quebec City. A truly iconic event on tour, Phil managed to shake the nerves to place 5th in front of his home-province fans. This was no regular tour event, the structure stood 39 meters high and 91 meters long set up right in the middle of the city.
Phil finished off his incredible rookie year by putting the rest of his competitors on notice for next year's season. He took home another second place finish in the big air competition at the World Ski & Snowboard Festival in Whistler, Canada. We can't wait to see what Phil does for an encore next year!
