Queen Esie, who's full name is Esther Calixte-Bea, is a body hair activist and artist. She challenges beauty standards by normalizing female body hair in hopes to remove the shame and show women that they too can love themselves as they are. Known for her self-photography series the "Lavender Project", she has been featured in Elle, Fashion Canada, Konbini, Brut France/USA/Côte d'Ivoire, Globe and Mail, Cosmopolitan UK, Glamour UK' s digital cover and more. Her paintings have also been displayed at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and across many galleries in Montreal.
